Rollout
Getting ready before the season, not during it
- 1
Baseline the quiet months
Anomaly detection measures departure from your own activity, so the baseline you set now is what makes November legible.
- 2
Onboard seasonal staff onto one ledger
The same append-only timesheets, approval chain and rate engine as permanent staff, so nobody is reconciling two systems in the busiest week.
- 3
Plan coverage locally
First and last activity per local day, with the thin patches between regional handovers named rather than assumed.
- 4
Alert on the shift, not the retro
Anomalies raised while the shift is running, delivered to the channel the team already reads.
Finding out in the retro vs. finding out with time to act
workmonitor.vsPeak planning today
Capacity warning
With WorkMonitor
A capacity band running hot with lead time, and the driver named.
Peak planning today
The retro, once the peak is over and the revenue is gone.
Seasonal staff
With WorkMonitor
The same ledger, approval chain and rate engine as permanent staff.
Peak planning today
A separate spreadsheet, reconciled by hand in the busiest week of the year.
Coverage
With WorkMonitor
Per-local-day coverage with the thin patches named.
Peak planning today
A rota in head-office hours that assumes a handover that does not happen.
Where the hours went
With WorkMonitor
Classified activity and a replayable timeline.
Peak planning today
A total, with no way to see the shape of the day.
Alerting
With WorkMonitor
Departure from your own baseline, so a busy November does not read as an incident.
Peak planning today
Fixed thresholds that fire constantly through a peak and get muted.
The season report
With WorkMonitor
A scheduled saved report, delivered without anyone re-running it.
Peak planning today
Assembled in January by whoever is left.

- Productivity scoring (score, heatmap, category breakdown, rollups)
- Score explainability / breakdown
- App classification & category overrides + per-app privacy deny-list
- Focus & deep-work analysis
- Workload capacity signal (feeds AI Burnout Guardian)

The status meeting, already written
Status is normally assembled by asking. Here it is already: hours, activity, attendance and risk on one board, for one person or the whole company. Set the thresholds once and it tells you who needs you.
Jobs to be done
The jobs an eCommerce operation runs here
- Catch anomalies with smart alertsAnomaly detection against your own baseline, six named agents on specific jobs, evidence-cited summaries, and delivery to a channel your team already reads.
- Manage remote & hybrid teamsOne live board across every zone, attendance in each person’s local day, capacity bands that name who is drowning, and a rollout that never touches a machine.
- Track time automaticallyNo timer to start, no Friday reconstruction. Idle is split out rather than estimated, and approved hours reach payroll and invoicing without a re-key.
- Monitor apps & websitesEvery app and site classified, every day replayable as a timeline. You see which tools are eating the week and which teams they are fragmenting.
Straight answers
The questions we would ask in your position
Every answer here is the one you would get on a call. Open as many as you like; they stay open, so two can be held side by side.
Yes: they track into the same record as permanent staff, and approved hours feed payroll runs regardless of how someone is engaged. That is the point: peak should not create a reconciliation problem for January.
Agents install and enrol without a hand on every machine, and the device inventory shows who has not checked in yet, so the long tail of a large intake is visible rather than assumed. Identity can come from the provider you already run.
It depends how it arrives, and peak is the worst possible time to lose somebody. The capacity signal is most often used to argue for more people rather than more effort, which is the version staff accept; on top of that they can see their own data and appeal a capture, and deny-lists keep named apps out of the record. Introduced quietly, in November, it goes the other way.
There are connectors across HRIS, payroll, project management, chat and BI, plus a read-only v1 REST API and Zapier for anything not covered. The integrations directory lists what ships today.

Take these with you
The software is the easy part of a rollout
Here is what we would send a manager doing one for the first time: how to read a productivity number, what to say to a remote team before anything is installed, and a policy you can adopt as written.
Point it at one team for a week.
Create the account, put the agent on a handful of desks, and leave it alone. On Friday you read the week instead of reconstructing it: hours against their projects, focus and idle per person, and the timesheets already filled in.
Free for two seats. No card, and no sales call to sit through.
