WorkMonitor for hybrid teams
Find out whether your office policy is paying for itself
Office days and home days measured the same way: which ones produce focused work, where coverage actually sits, and whether the last promotion round was really tracking attendance.

Rollout
Measuring a split week without rewarding proximity
- 1
Use one measure for both locations
The same focus and capacity signals wherever the day happened, so an office day and a home day are compared on the same basis.
- 2
Test the office policy against outcomes
Deep-work stretches and meeting density per day of the week, so the anchor-day argument is settled with data rather than instinct.
- 3
Read coverage across the split
First and last activity per local day, so the two-days-in policy does not quietly leave a Thursday uncovered.
- 4
Watch for the visibility tax
Sustained evening activity is a capacity warning, not a commitment signal, which matters most for the people who are not in the room.
Proximity as a proxy vs. one measure for everyone
workmonitor.vsHybrid as usually managed
Who gets noticed
With WorkMonitor
One measure applied identically to office and home days.
Hybrid as usually managed
Whoever was in the room, which decides reviews without anyone intending it.
The office-day policy
With WorkMonitor
Tested against deep-work time and meeting density per day of the week.
Hybrid as usually managed
Set by instinct and defended by instinct.
Presence
With WorkMonitor
Activity-based, so presence and contribution stop being the same claim.
Hybrid as usually managed
A badge system, which measures the door rather than the work.
Coverage
With WorkMonitor
Computed per local day, with the uncovered stretches named.
Hybrid as usually managed
Assumed from the rota.
A contested decision
With WorkMonitor
A shared breakdown either can open, and an appeal route that produces a written outcome.
Hybrid as usually managed
Two people working from different memories of the same period.
Always-on behaviour
With WorkMonitor
Flagged as a capacity band running hot, weeks earlier.
Hybrid as usually managed
Rewarded, until the person resigns.

What a hybrid team gets to work with
- Productivity scoring (score, heatmap, category breakdown, rollups)
- Score explainability / breakdown
- App classification & category overrides + per-app privacy deny-list
- Focus & deep-work analysis
- Workload capacity signal (feeds AI Burnout Guardian)

The status meeting, already written
Status is normally assembled by asking. Here it is already: hours, activity, attendance and risk on one board, for one person or the whole company. Set the thresholds once and it tells you who needs you.
Jobs to be done
The jobs a hybrid team runs here
- Manage remote & hybrid teamsOne live board across every zone, attendance in each person’s local day, capacity bands that name who is drowning, and a rollout that never touches a machine.
- Score productivity & focusOne score per person, team or company, with the breakdown behind every one. Your categories rather than our defaults, and a capacity signal that names who is running hot.
- Track time automaticallyNo timer to start, no Friday reconstruction. Idle is split out rather than estimated, and approved hours reach payroll and invoicing without a re-key.
- Catch anomalies with smart alertsAnomaly detection against your own baseline, six named agents on specific jobs, evidence-cited summaries, and delivery to a channel your team already reads.
Straight answers
The questions we would ask in your position
Every answer here is the one you would get on a call. Open as many as you like; they stay open, so two can be held side by side.
Only if you set that up. Geofenced job sites can record on-site presence where attendance genuinely matters; otherwise the product measures the work rather than the location, which is deliberately the point on a hybrid rota.
The agent captures work activity, governed by the capture policy and the per-app deny-list you configure, and it applies those rules on the device before anything is transmitted. Capture policies can be scoped to working hours. People see their own data and can appeal a specific capture. On a hybrid team that transparency is not a nicety, it is the thing that makes the arrangement survivable.
It makes "they are always here" and "they get more done" separable claims, which they otherwise are not. That matters commercially as much as anything: a promotion round that turns out to have tracked office attendance is both a bad allocation of your best people and the kind of thing that gets challenged. The data does not remove the bias on its own, a manager can still ignore it.
It is the same policy either way, and the self-view shows exactly what was collected on any given day. Different rules by location would be the fastest way to lose the team’s trust.

Take these with you
The software is the easy part of a rollout
Here is what we would send a manager doing one for the first time: how to read a productivity number, what to say to a remote team before anything is installed, and a policy you can adopt as written.
Point it at one team for a week.
Create the account, put the agent on a handful of desks, and leave it alone. On Friday you read the week instead of reconstructing it: hours against their projects, focus and idle per person, and the timesheets already filled in.
