Today turns your team's live numbers into a short daily brief, written in plain language beside the exact figures behind it.

Who this is for

Anyone signed in can open Today. Reading the activity feed and the team roll-ups it's built from has no permission of its own, beyond being a member of the organisation.

What you'll see

The header reads Today, with the date, a running clock, and UTC, plus a small count of who's online.

On the left, the Daily brief: a "Daily brief · {day of week}" kicker, then a plain-language line: good morning, afternoon or evening, how many people are on the clock, and the org's current focus index, described as running ahead of, behind, or about where a normal day sits. When one team's numbers are worth a look, it names that team and its score too.

Below that, up to three numbered, clickable next steps (for example, reviewing a team's week, seeing what's lifting a rising team, or checking workload capacity), each pointing at Insights or Capacity. When there's nothing to flag, it says "Nothing needs you right now. The day is running steady." If team roll-ups aren't available to your role, it says so instead: "Team roll-ups aren't available to your role. The live board still shows who's working."

A Summarise this for standup button turns those same numbers into a short standup line. While it composes, it reads *"reading today's consented activity…"*; the result comes with a ↻ Regenerate link and the note *"From this page · nothing invented."* A closing line underneath reminds you: *"Composed from today's consented activity. Every number opens its audit trail."*

On the right, The day, by team: a lane for each team with its name, headcount, a 15-segment bar, and its score, or a dash and Presence when there's no score to show yet for that team. Below that, Where time went lists the apps people currently have open, each with a share of the group's active time, and Right now shows a stack of faces for who's active plus counts for Heads-down, In meeting, On break, and Offline.

What happens next

Selecting a numbered action takes you to Insights or Capacity to look into it. Summarise this for standup composes its line entirely from what's already loaded on the page (nothing is invented), and selecting Regenerate rewrites it fresh.

If it doesn't work

• If the brief can't be composed, you'll see "Couldn't compose today's brief," with *"Your session may have expired. Try signing in again."* if that's the cause, or *"The live activity feed is unavailable right now."* otherwise. Either way, a Retry button.
• If department roll-ups aren't available at all yet, the right-hand pane reads "Team roll-ups aren't available yet."
