The activity board
The activity board shows who's online right now, what they're doing, and who might need a look, all updating live.
Who this is for
Anyone signed in can open the board and browse the roster. The Needs attention panel only shows up for managers and owners. A member without the permission that lets a role read the team roster simply doesn't see it, with no error in its place. Turning an alert rule on or off, or changing its number, takes a further permission the default Manager role doesn't include, so in practice that's an owner-level action. An owner can grant it to another role if they want a manager to have it too.
What you'll see
The screen is titled Live at the top of the page; the left navigation calls the same screen Activity board, under Live activity. Look for either name. A small Live / Connecting… badge shows the realtime connection, next to a running count of who's online.
Below the header:
- A row of figures: Online now (against your total member count), Avg activity (an average out of 100 across whoever's online), Working (heads-down, with the share of online members it represents), In meeting (calls + rooms), and Offline (no capture in the last two minutes).
- An Activity mix bar splitting everyone currently online into Working, In meeting, On break and Idle, with a count next to each. It covers online members only, so its counts always add up to Online now. When nobody is reporting there is no mix to draw, and the bar is replaced by a line saying so and how many people are offline.
- A Needs attention panel (managers and owners only) listing anyone flagged today, most-severe first, each linking to that person's page. A Rules button opens an Alert rules dialog with three switches (Heavy idle time, Low productivity, and Off-hours activity), each with its own on/off toggle and a number you can set.
- Who's working right now: the searchable roster. Search by name or email, or filter by Status (Online/Offline), Activity (Working / In meeting / On break / Idle, this matches only people who are online, so combining it with Status: Offline correctly returns nobody), and, when you're allowed to see project membership, Project. Each row shows the person's avatar and presence dot, their name and email, what they're doing, when they were last active, and their latest day's productivity score out of 100 with a day-over-day change and a short bar sparkline, or No score yet if there's nothing to show, or a note that composite scores are a higher-plan feature.
The activity column is only ever a statement about now. Someone reporting right now shows a green classification badge and the app they're in. Someone who has stopped reporting shows Was working (or the equivalent) if we heard from them in the last half hour, and just Offline after that, never a live-looking badge. The Active … time beside it tells you how old that reading is.
- A brief highlight flashes across a row the moment a new screenshot lands for that person.
What happens next
The board updates itself as presence and activity events arrive. You don't need to refresh it. Selecting anyone's row, or a name in Needs attention, opens that person's own page. Changing an alert rule re-evaluates who shows up in Needs attention right away.
If it doesn't work
- If the board can't load, you'll see "Couldn't load the live board" with a reason underneath (an expired session reads *"Your session may have expired. Try signing in again."*) and a Retry button.
- If nobody's enrolled yet, the roster shows "No members yet": *"Enroll an agent to see live activity appear here."*
- If your search or filters match nobody, it shows "Nobody matches": *"No one fits that search and filter combination. Try widening it."*, with a link to clear everything.
- If you try to change an alert rule without the right permission, you'll see a "Only a manager can change alert rules" toast and the dialog's controls fall read-only for the rest of your visit. In practice this needs your organisation's owner, or a role the owner has explicitly granted that permission to. The default Manager role doesn't include it, whatever the toast says.
